My take is that Trump just wanted Cruz to feel the pain of having his wife held up to ridicule like Trump felt with the Melania ad. It was a gut punch answering a gut punch, as in “here’s exactly how it felt.”
Well, the reason I thought it was a misstep was that he backed away from it. If he had real dirt on Heidi he would have dropped it on her.
Hey, it is no surprise about Trump’s wife posing naked, that news has been around for at least a decade and can be found easily. I know Trump is sensitive, but good grief everyone already knew about those photos for ages. Hardly a gut punch.
Trump has made it very clear early in the campaign that if he is attacked, he will respond 10 times harder. Cruz doesn’t get it. Poor judgement.
