Trump has stayed out of this and clearly stated that it was Cruz’s problem to deal with. He responded to the attempt to embarrass his wife. Surely no one is expecting him to defend Cruz?

I don’t expect him to defend Cruz and I want him to stay out of it. It’s gotten a little too nasty and I blame them and the media.
