For the record, I wish there were someone other than Trump or Cruz. And, lest you jump to further erroneous conclusions, Kasich is execrable. The GOP is going to lose in the fall. We will literally have snatched defeat from the jaws of victory. And who will we lose to? The most corrupt and decadent pol imaginable, Hillary. It is so incredibly tragic it makes me sick.
Trump will be evicerated in the general election, evicerated. And even if he were to win - which he won’t - he will be the most unprepared, unready president in history.
Ultimately, the fault lies with GOPe. Had they ever shown some spine, some commitment to principle we would never have been in this position. This whole situation for the nation is what Victor Davis Hanson would probably identify as hubris meeting nemesis. And we all lose.
So, spare me your enthusiasm for Trump. Spare me ...
He will have many months to turn his unfavorables around.
And, the dirty little secret is that hillary has unfavs as well and for all the wrong reasons. I'll take the Donald's bad unvafs any ol' day.
