Received the above email message (actually subject only-no message) from LibbyLu. I'm saving her the trouble of having to spread it far and wide on the internet. It'll be on google in moments with this post.
Guess the TrueBlueConservatives™ who would rather allow Hillary to waltz into the White House if Trump is our Republican nominee rather than voting for him are going to attempt to take down FR.
Good luck with that.
As far as I'm concerned not voting for our Rebublican nominee against the America-hating, constitution-hating, God-hating Marxist/fascist/socialist/democrat totalitarian traitors is tantamount to treason.
I can remember when we fought real wars against these communist bastards and real Americans died to preserve our Constitution and our freedom and our right to vote. Those who think they're too good to VOTE against the commies can piss away their freedom on some other website.
Those agreeing that another commie should win the election unopposed and without a fight or even a vote are welcome to join her.
Our mission on FR: Securing the Blessings of Liberty to ourselves and our posterity.
Those who are too timid or prideful or too wrapped up in themselves or whatever excuse they have to lift a finger to save our freedom might as well bail the hell out now. We have the fight of our lives coming up to save our nation!
Well....Bye!!!!
Good riddance to rabid Libby...
Sargon, If you’re through with your personal attacks, I’d like to answer your questions.
We (the people) haven’t done a very good job lately holding of our elected officials accountable. They promised conservative leadership. We gave them the House and the Senate. They ignore us. I’m interested in knowing why you think we’d be more effective with a President Trump if he decided to pursue policies we conservatives find ourselves in disagreement with.
In Mr. Trump’s own words he “makes deals” and he “wins”. When charm doesn’t work, we’ve all seen how utterly ruthless he can be. He’s brilliant at what he does (businessman), he inspires passion in his followers, and I believe he loves his country. So did Caesar who truly believed he was doing what was best for Rome. So did a great many Romans.
I personally don’t think Trump can be stopped by persuasion or otherwise if he’s convinced he’s right. I do see that he is currently supported by and hopefully listening to some folks whov’e definitely earned their conservative credentials over the long term. That’s encouraging. So is the way he has raised accomplished and loyal children; I think that speaks volumes about a man.
As for destroying the Republic, I think that process is well underway and has been for a couple of decades, but especially for the past 7+ years. That’s why we have to get it right this election. My fear is that a President Trump’s efforts to “make America great again” may well make us strong again economically and politically and militarily, but may do little about rebuilding the foundations of our national character. You are right of course that the citizens themselves bear a huge responsibility in that arena, but so do the leaders. And I guess I’m still idealistic enough to think that with wisdom and God’s help, we can do both.
Frankly, I think Trump may treat fellow Americans a lot like you’ve treated me: try to intimidate anyone who sees things differently or expresses legitimate concerns by attacking their character, making inaccurate accusations about their motives, and accusing them of the very practices being used to silence them. For good measure, a little uncivil or inappropriate language might get thrown in. That combination will result in a great many people just walking away from the table (including the voting booth). It will create enemies of some and probably lead a few to support candidates/causes/issues that most thinking Americans would eschew.
I don’t know you and you certainly don’t know me. However, it seems we share some common ground: we both love America. Perhaps that is enough to earn some mutual respect and civility while we get through this election season and its outcome. I wish you well my FRiend.
....”I am still torn about voting for Trump after the shenanigans over the past several days. Guess I will have to wait and see”......
I have a wait and see mindset as well and will support Cruz until a winner is determined. Then I’ll cross that bridge if Cruz doesn’t win, and am comfortable with a wait and see who actually is chosen.
I have held my nose and voted for candidates in the past...I suppose if it really comes to that I will have no other choice but do it again as an opposition vote to Hillary rather than an actual vote for Trump....who I don’t trust one iotta.
I am at the point where my thinking is that if these bozos are the best we can do, this country is finished.
It's fine with me if you can't stand Trump. The nasty crap is coming from both sides. Acting like pro-Cruzers are taking the brunt of abuse from pro-Trumpers is delusional and can't be taken seriously.
....”Crappiest, most depressing election ever”....
I agree.....such nonsense we’ve endured, and they’ve all gone off the track of what this election should be about. Such stupidity and gutter media pundits willing to feed the public the slime they appear to want daily.
Really!?!?!?! This is the best we can do? It is depressing, and I don’t see it getting any better in the future. We are circling the drain.
Problem I have is I’m not convinced Trump, if he does win, will do any better then Hillary because his associations for years have been the very elites of Washington, Hollywood and Corporate America.....so my only hope would be that the Republicans and his supporters will keep his feet to all he’s promised.....and that’s a stretch IMO....history has shown congress fails greatly.
Its not at all by accident.
I have noticed a number of the apparent Troll community doing the same thing and getting themselves intentionally zotted. It almost seems like they are signaling that the game is over and they are exiting with a bang. Either that or their heads are exploding like the Martians on the movie “Mars Attacks”.
A little bit of Slim Whitman never hurt anybody ‘cept for a Martian...
With all due respect, Jim, there are at least as many who have said they will not vote for Cruz as have said they will not vote for Trump. Some of them every bit as vocal as libbylu. One would think these folks would have learned from what happened to get Obama elected a second time, but I guess not.
.....”Im so afraid he is hurting our party and will give us Hillary”.....
Me too...McCain handed the Presidency to Obama though he made claims to want the Presidency. I don’t trust Trump at all that he won’t flip if he wins this, in fact I fully believe he will do that and expect his supporters to accept they have to be “flexible” and he forewarned all he would be so himself...whatever that means is a mystery all will have to abide by if he wins.
Trump has the best chance of beating Hillary if he's nominated. If it's someone else the best way to beat her is to vote for the nominee - no matter who it is.
So for now vote Trump, support Trump, fight for Trump. If it doesn't pan don't throw the country under the bus out of spite.
Now they have taken it to FR thread on Facebook.
Therefore the playing field for this election was never on level ground from the get go. Trump with his billions and the media mongrels selected the show, and it's been playing out before the entire world.
No other candidates had their own Jets to run them around the country. Rather every one had to hit the ground and put the foot work in to gain every vote. None of them had public recognition as an entertainment, billionaire idol's popularity to usher them to the front line. ...etc.etc. Trumps advantages far outweighed the other candidates who began their run..........and few ever got even a smidgen of the news cycles. So the deck was fixed very early on and from the get go, the media and Trump knew that good and bad reports would always full the agenda.
Libby suffered from Political idolatry or political cultism. You can’t elevate a candidate so far above others that you won’t even consider voting for the other candidate, let alone sit home on election night and hand it over to the democrats.
Trump is not perfect by any means but I believe he loves this country, which isn’t something I can say about Obama or Hillary, and I know he would try and make America better.
Look, I have an extreme distaste for Trump and his tactics. And I absolutely cannot stand some of the TrumpBots here on FR. Bet he is MILES better than Hillary.
Put it this way, even if he is your LAST choice as a republican nominee, with him as President, we still have a chance at getting SOME conservative things done. With Hillary in place, ITS OVER FOR US, PERIOD. With all her Judges, WE WILL BE DONE.
The process Obama has put in place WILL BE CEMENTED IN for ALL TIME if Hillary gets into office. At least with Trump, we would have a chance.
I vote for the candidate that give us the best chance, and if its Hillary v Trump, at this point in history, I would vote for Trump twice if I could.
Personal attacks?
