The mother is American. That makes Lady Mary as eligible for the Presidency as Lyin’ Ted, the child of a citizen born while residing in a foreign land with her foreign husband.

Lady Mary is of course a fictional character. But Lady Churchill wife of Lord Randolph was the real deal. She was Jennie Jerome, a newbie wealthy and hot New York debutante whose father made a fortune on Wall Street and mining copper in what today is a tourist town, Jerome, AZ. According the his own autobiography and others, Jenny bedded many aristocrats in Europe causing a young Winston much pain as the trysts were not always private.

Using the Cruz eligibility argument, Winston Churchill qualified. Now what about the thousands of kids fathered by American G.I.'s during our foreign wars and skirmishes?
