I'm beginning to think the story was an attack on both of them by the establishment. Trump played into it by threatening Heidi. The establishment hacks did the ad on Melania. Cruz went along with it without denouncing it, that was his mistake.

Next, Trump threatens Heidi. The very next day, this story about Cruz comes out, and Cruz blames Trump, Trump denies, it looks like a big implosion by everyone. Who gains from that?????

President Ryan?

This is probably an establishment attack.

What is the one thing they cannot beat at the convention?

Trump and Cruz working together.

They are using every tool in their toolbox.

Exactly. Once again, which enterprise is more valuable: Apple, Microsoft, Google or the GOP?

Hint: one of them is a partner with another non-profit organization that controls a multi-trillion budget. Extra information: in which organization do hundreds of "partners" become multi-millionaires?

Once people realize the GOPe is primarily interested in the value of the organization itself, then it will become clear why any non-standard candidate must be eliminated.

Neither Trump nor Cruz are part of the insider team; that is comprised of Bush, Koch, Romney et al. The GOPe will do anything to deny these two the nomination, or if all else fails, run a 3rd party to deny the presidency.

In a 3 (or 4 with Bernie) way race, if no one gets 270, it goes to the House to decide. President Bush III anyone?

Who knows? I smell a rat. But in what direction? What man would not defend his wife? Like I just posted: Who benefits? Hillary? Bernie? Obama? Or the GOP?

Cruz’s new campaign manager (wasn’t the last one let go for being caught at dirty tricks and this new one has the same reputation) asked GQ for the photo of Melania - I’m guessing they needed permission. So obviously the photo came from Cruz’s people. Cruz tried to bait Trump so he could act all outraged and try to muddy the water for the NE story he had to know was coming out.

How did Trump threaten Heidi?

Apparently it was Rubio’s people who were trying to peddle this Cruz cheating story for weeks.
