Latest updates:
1. The address used by both of these pacs is some kind of political consultant, Chris Marston, who handles these sorts of things for PACS and candidates as a business. So that could rule out any direct connection between two PAC that share the address.

2. It was a Ted Cruz PAC, Keep the Promise I, that gave the donation to the Fiorina PAC, and not the Ted Cruz Campaign directly.

So while this certainly looked bad, it turns out not to be such a big deal and certainly NOT a smoking gun linking Ted Cruz to the nude Melania ad. Glad it turned out like this because looks like Ted has plenty of other problems this morning to deal with.

Thanks for everyone who helped me to sort out at least this aspect of today’s news.

A direct ‘link’ is unlikely... everyone knows the letter of the law.

BUT...

A PAC isn’t going to put out stuff that’s totally offensive to the guy they’re backing.. and it’s this ‘knowing’ that I’m talking about. Trust me, they knew their guy would be pleased.

I starting NOT to like Cruz...
