Yeah not mine, that is a disavowal, to most rational people. Because ted has already said those kind of things are not okay and wouldn’t be undertaken by his campaign. By refusing the blame for something that he did not do, he disavowed it.
No, I don’t need to convince you but if you say something is wrong, like we don’t lie in our campaign and then someone lies in your favor and you say. “That was not us speaking” it is not remotely the same as saying “That action, done in my name and not by me, was wrong.”
If you say I don’t tolerate stealing and then someone steals and puts it in your pocket and your comment is I didn’t steal, you are not disassociating yourself from the theft and the initial I don’t tolerate stealing becomes hypocrisy.
