Ted Cruz: "Donald, you're a sniveling coward and leave Heidi the hell alone"
Sometimes, I get the feeling that we (”republicans” this election cycle) are so DONE. This campaign has de-evolved into schoolyard name calling, its pathetic. All sides are to blame in this, and it makes me sick.
You got to love it when a plan comes together!
Now Ted is resorting to school yard name calling? Pathetic.
This is NOT what Cruz wanted and it is NOT going to help him any at all.
So few get this aspect - it's pure game theory. The Cruz' PAC put out an ad 100% guaranteed to get a response from Trump.
Now imagine yourself in the Cruz planning meeting outlining the anticipated reaction(s). Trump responds as expected, setting up Cruz to reply in the exact manner he did.
But like all battle plans, what happens afterward once you're a few moves into the game? Is the risk worth the potential reward ie being able to frame Trump as a low-class bully?
Of course, you cue up your social keyboard brigade to flood the various blogs, message boards, etc repeating the same meme in an attempt to solidify the image.
However, on Trump's side, they're game playing the exact situation, only from their perspective. The key from Trump is to execute a move that hasn't been incorporated into Cruz' thinking, otherwise it's just a route exercise tit-for-tat with nothing unique or interesting.
What kind of a “CHRISTIAN” lies like Ted does, hires dirty tricsters like Roe, doesn’t disavow a PAC using HIS name to trash someone else’s wife?
That’s been out there for a long time. I’m sorry it ever surfaced. It really is nasty to attack family members in a political campaign. Heidi does seem to feel she is running though, which I find unsettling.

Is it clear now. He is associated with the ad. If he doesn’t object he is in assent by default.
You really think Trump is emotionally invested? LOL If he is, then he really is a loser. No, Trump knows exactly how to both play act and how this routine plays out; in fact, both sides do.
In essence, this is pure game theory. Each side knows what the other will do to either initiate and/or reply. The only real variable is how it plays out after a few initial moves.
That's the wild-card.

I’m not smitten with Cruz. In fact, I was so excited by the entire field this year but now I’m sick of all of them.
However, the idiocy of you trumpites is turning me off toward him.
Between the men, between the campaign, between the factions here on FR.
Both sides have been spoiling for it. This was headed to a barfight, and better now than later.
I hope that once the dust settles, things will roll along a little smoother.
No Trump was pointing out that some of the things Ben Carson had put in his book were questionable. He said that Ben calling himself pathological was remarkable. Pathological is a word reserved for severely abnormal like a child molester. The clip was cut and spun and people used it for their own purposes.
The truth is that Ben Carson says some things in his book that were hopefully hyperbole since if you believe what he wrote was the literal truth and the kind of conditions he described are not readily reversed or treated. That was Trump’s point.

Cruz should have disavowed the ad IMMEDIATELY! He didn't and is now acting as though he was the "victim". Do we REALLY want someone like that as the pResident? Isn't the one we have now, bad enough?
Maybe they will duke it out.
