Rush knows the same thing the Republicans in Congress know, that's why.

If a Republican becomes President with there being a good chance that they're going to hang onto Congress as well, they'll be expected to fix things instead of wallowing in the cash and shrugging their shoulders because it's all the President's fault.

The last thing Republicans want is to actually be held responsible for their own actions. As it stands now, they just make excuse after excuse with the occasional screwing of the public with things like TPA rationalized for them by people like Rush.

What happens when Rush has to explain that the Republicans, who all swear they love and emulate Reagan, control the whole ball of wax and aren't doing anything to stop the rot other than helping out the big boys ?

Who's going to listen to Rush explain how moving this chase lounge closer the railing and that table closer the center of the deck will help when everyone knows the Republicans don't care if the ship is sinking?

OTOH, with Hillary at the helm does his audience shrink or grow ?

Limbaugh: Jeb Bush could mount a convention comeback

http://www.politico.com/blogs/2016-gop-primary-live-updates-and-results/2016/03/rush-limbaugh-bush-nominee-220805

Conservative radio host Rush Limbaugh on Tuesday speculated that a Floridian will emerge as the Republican nominee at a contested convention in July.

Limbaugh recalled Bush remarking in December 2014 that his strategy was to win the nomination despite losing primaries — something he planned to do by outspending his opponents. Limbaugh added that Bush, who left race in February, would escape the primary without having to talk about abortion, immigration or anything else that matters to Tea Party voters.

“He’s gonna win the nomination nevertheless,” Limbaugh said. “And it may well yet happen.”

I get it and that’s a possibility. But you have to ask yourself is he near retirement,at 60+ years old, does he already have enough gold, does he really need to sell out? Or is he getting flack from insiders he has to pay attention to?
I don’t have any answers or first hand info, just guessing.
