Then, if by the "Cruz standard", his not having to do anything with the ad is enough, then Donald Trump immediately saying "I don't know anything about David Duke." should have been sufficient.

I am sure when Cruz found out about the PAC supporting him printed that ad, the first thing Cruz did was call Trump and apologized profusely. And then he went on National TV and disavowed that nasty little PAC. Cruz then said wives are off limits.
