I note that gender fluidity (as a political bludgeon at least) seems to be largely absent from impoverished nations where each day involves a struggle to reach the next day.

It’s a symptom/disease of affluence.

Excellent observation.

It’s a symptom/disease of affluence.

The entire Marxist movement has been spread from (relatively) affluent educators to their affluent students.

I think that is likely true.

It does, however, raise the question as to the nature of this perversion in primitive societies. Certainly it existed in ancient Israel. But it does sort of seem like a different psychology as compared to today. The deviant act has always existed, I think. But perhaps in any given era, the root of it is somewhat varied?
