The economic and political costs and dislocations would be comparable to the reunification of Germany...except we’ve never been one country.
You probably mention communities because you saw dismantling of factories in your local area. We all did, but the media downplays it.
more read about it....I have personally been pretty protected, and I’m grateful for that. It takes only a little empathy and experience to know that the shutting of a factory is a terrible thing for that community....and it should cause pain to every true conservative.
