Holy Week has been a mix this year. Getting my health back on track but hubby has issues now, with his lower back. It’s improving thankfully. And he’s found he cannot take prednisone.

Quiet Easter expected with my folks and then next week the girls arrive! Daughter-in-law and granddaughter.

We are supposed to have them for two years, and then son is hoping for duty in KC if he is lucky. So enjoying last days as empty nesters and preparing to go back to crazy family, kids and pets. :) my step mom says she gives the girls six months and they will be ready to buy a house. Could be right. Will play it one day at a time. I do know blending two families is an adjustment. In any regard, we love our DIL as if she were our own and I keep coming up with ideas to take on with the grand kid. :) So far we are baking and cooking together, planting a flower bed, a fairy garden, going to the water park and horseback riding lessons. I may be spoiling the kiddo.......

Wishing all a lovely Easter, but am sure we will all visit again before then.

Easter Blessings, navymom. Sounds like you’re about to have so many wonderful and happy times with your DIL and granddaughter. Lots of great memories in the making!

I hope all goes smoothly for you all with the two extra folk for a few years. How old i DIL and granddaughter?

Everyone respecting the other’s boundaries is important. Even though there will no doubt be issues over that time frame, it will be creating previous memories for all concerned.

Japanese families who follow the traditional path have several generations together and it is a wonderful way for families to be strong together. Better economically and certainly less selfishness for those involved.

Well, that sounds exciting, navymom!

I’m sure there will be an adjustment period for everyone, but having your granddaughter around to spoil all the time will be fun.

Our easter will be quiet. Church, then home. Our son is still trapped in Mexifornia so it’s just me, hubby, 3 cats, and a dog.
