BTW, let's get back to your original assertion. You are going to claim that a factory can be built anywhere, right? And that it will be just as competitive as any other, right? And that this supports your assertion that tariffs work differently for agriculture than for manufacturing, right? And that this means that tariffs won't work to depress production the way they have in the past, right? If Poland puts a tariff on sugar cane this will never ever promote the domestic Polish sugar can industry because you can never grow sugar cane in Poland. It just isn’t possible. But you can build all the factories you want in Poland and tariffs work much differently for manufactured goods that they do for agricultural goods. Even a Democrat could see the difference.
