I’d suggest not engaging 2DV when he starts getting personal, which is ever-increasingly, the deeper the hole Cruz is digging himself gets. They must be old buddies or something, he gets very upset when people criticize his candidate.
As to the article, this makes sense, as it’s about that time in the campaign where the piles of money used to (hopefully) create momentum in the first half of the race starts to burn up. At least, when you run a traditional campaign paying a business-as-usual company like Axiom Strategies millions to come up with “winning” strategies like shame mailers and fake viral “gotcha” videos claiming your opponents hate The Bible.
Cruz never managed to “catch fire”, so to speak, so now he’s whoring himself out to whoever will cut him a check.
I’m confused how Cruz is allowed to appear at Super PAC events without it being considered “coordination between campaigns”, but I guess I’m just too much of a low-information rube to understand the super-smart mental and legal gymnastics used to justify how that keeps within the spirit of campaign finance laws.
Anyway, the candidate I favor has run a nice, lean campaign, and his expertise at running large organizations has paid good dividends. :)
2nddivvet is a Cruz bundler. I’ve never been a bundler, so I don’t know what perks they get, but I am also a 2ID vet. No perks in that.
