Donald Trump has launched a late TV ad blitz in Utah that targets Ted Cruz just days before state Republicans caucus Tuesday.
The commercial recycles a now familiar Trump attack against the Texas senator, dubbing him "Lying Ted Cruz."
The spot casts Cruz as inconsistent on immigration, an issue that both Trump and the senator have made central to their campaigns. It spotlights an interview Cruz gave on Fox News in December, when he was shown past statements in which he appeared to back a pathway to citizenship for those living in the United States illegally. In the interview, Cruz struggles to answer why he opposes that same position now.
"Lying Ted Cruz: Just another all talk, no action politician," the ad says.
A Trump spokesperson didn't respond to several requests for comment. The spot was captured by a media buying source.

His poll numbers will tank now, I tell ya!
I’ve lost a lot of respect for Cruz. Losing reveals character. Cruz should recognize that he has been beaten and begin the process of unification.
These two are brutal. At least there won’t be a wimp in office if either one of them gets the nomination.
Let me put it a different way, Cruz has been against amnesty longer than a Trump has been pro-life and against open borders.
Cruz isn't all that strong in my opinion. It was one of the many reasons I switched allegiance in January. I don't think he could stand the withering heat of the democrat/Shrillary/media complex anal exam.
Any second now Cruz will blame Trump for the highway being blocked going to the Trump rally, and the protesters being arrested by Sheriff Joe.
Trump has the right to have TENS OF THOUSANDS GO TO HIS RALLY AND A FEW PROTESTERS DON’T HAVE A RIGHT TO DENY TRUMP’S 1ST AMENDMENT FREE SPEECH RIGHTS.
DID THEY HAVE A PERMIT FOR THEIR PROTEST NO
DO THEY HAVE A RIGHT TO BLOCK A PUBLIC HIGHWAY NO
Anyobody got a video link to the ad?
It’s all a word game with Cruz. His pre-Trump position was mass legalization. He merely claimed that wasn’t amnesty.
LoL.
Did Cruz lie or did he change his position. Big difference.
I prefer Trump as well, switched from Cruz shortly after Trump announced. And Trump’s strength of personality is part of it.
But at least Cruz is trying to fight back. I don’t think that this is his year, he needs more seasoning IMO.
Agreed. Trump has been hit by everyone including liberals, the GOPe, conservatives, the establishment conservative intelligentsia on talk radio, blogs, in publications like the National RINOvew and the Wall Street Jourinal, and the regular drive by media. He’s still standing and he fights back. Sorry, but I see another buttoned down campaign with Ted Cruz. The Democrats will be throwing haymakers every day of this campaign, and it’s good to see someone on our side who will take it and fight back twice as hard for a change.
The negativity of this ad is why the highways are BLOCKED in Phoenix today...at least according to Ted Cruz.
I must have been snoozing, while you were Cruzing... exactly when did he make “immigration a central part of his campaign”? Oh, was that when he did his Donald Trump impersonation for a day or two.???
word game with Cruz. His pre-Trump position was mass legalization. He merely claimed that wasnt amnesty.

What a liar you are.
The ironic is trump being in favor of touch and go amnesty.
I hope he doesn't destroy his own credibility in his quest for the presidency, but he's on the edge of doing that at this point. He needs to pull himself back from the abyss, the likelihood of him winning is very small right now and it's not worth destroying what he has built.
I call that the bjclinton face.
