Friday on MSNBCs Andrea Mitchell Reports, op-ed columnist for The Washington Post, Michael Gerson said when he talks to Republicans it has become therapy sessions over anxiety caused by Republican presidential candidate Donald Trumps success.
Gerson said, Yeah, every group of Republicans that I meet with now, breakfast, lunch, and dinner, are therapy sessions. People wondering how they deal with this fact because its not just a political decision here, its a moral one. Theres a candidate whos placed exclusion at the center, at the heart of the Republican message. Thats causing people real concerns. What do you do? Do you sit it out? Do you support a third party candidate? Do you support Hillary Clinton, which might be possible.
He added, Look at the pathetic example of Chris Christie and the way he looks in this, and these are horrible, impossible choices that Republicans are talking about all the time.

It will be the Trump voter base versus the government/media complex...or maybe it already is.
Look at the pathetic example of Michael Gerson and the way he looks in this.”
Oh why don’t they all just become Democrats and get it over with.
Soothing music and a cup of tea might help, hehe.
Make some hot chocolate, put on some pajamas....
Nothing the matter with exclusion, as long as the right people are excluded.
Heh. Jackwagons for sure.
And yet the Emerson Poll for NY shows he is at 64% - 52% above Cruz. I guess the non-political class is not needing this therapy because their gravy train is not ending.
: Do you support Hillary Clinton, which might be possible.
Leave the Republican Party now.
That is all.
Exclusion at the heart of the republican message?
Independents and democrat crossovers are starving for leadership,in some very conservative issues! Not to mention betrayed conservatives who have been lied to since 2012 and sooner
I believe now that we have been lied to since 1994. Or, even 1989.
Now I get it!
"Exclusion" is the spin-term for "self-defense!"
I agree. I think most of the E are democrats at heart anyway. Why don't they just make it official, and stop pretending they are conservatives. They aren't fooling anyone. 😡👺👎
The GOP voting base has had one simple and clear demand since 2010 — Stop Obama.
The GOPe failed to even lift a finger to do anything. Thank you Mr. Trump for shaking up these bastids and putting them on notice. There will be more Cantors and Boehners if you don’t perform.
If all the Cruz supporters cannot see who the real enemy’s are, then they’re blind to everything.
