Yep, he's expressed his belief in free markets, free trade, no tariffs, but also strict border enforcement. He apparently hasn't caught on to the reality that those who're really into free markets and free trade consider the free movement of labor to be just as much a part of it as the free movement of goods and services across national borders.
Until he learns that, he's just a useful idiot for those pushing the full meaning of free markets and free trade, which definitely includes the free movement of labor.
