The problem is that these fully automated systems will only work in polite societies. Without a person present, certain demographics will rip them apart. Or, they will take control of it and create their own store front, selling at a markup.
Don’t we already have robotic cops? Station one of those there.
As to areas that would likely destroy the machines.... they will simply be left out.
I suspect one occupation that will grow is that of Security Guard to guard such places. Or course you could just install a system with lasers that zap anyone who tries any funny business.
