Oh, those evil, crafty Evangelical Christians are always trying to establish a theocracy and run everyone else’s lives. They are so horrible for saying things like children should be raised by biological mothers and fathers when possible, that homosexuality is a perversion, that abortion and selling baby body parts is murder and genocide. This sort of hatefulness must be stopped. Evangelical Christians do not have a moral right to be represented in the government. Any attempts on their part should be met with fines, loss of jobs, jail, and execution.

In a day when Christians are losing their businesses, being fined hundreds of thousands of dollars, losing their jobs, and getting kicked out of college for expressing traditional Christian views, I think your conspiracy theories are almost as valid as lizard people taking over the world.
Evangelical Christians have almost zero representation in the legislature, none in the executive branch, and none on the Supreme Court (even before Scalia died). The threat of Evangelical Christians taking over the world is a bit exaggerated.
What is an “Evangelical Christian” . Are there non- Evangelical Christians? Are they saved as fully described John 3:16? Or is it some segment of a greater faith? Why does’nt the media call us what we really are “CHRISTIANS” the word Evangelical” is an obfuscation and diversion from Jesus Christ. That is my thought on “evangelical” . Except Cruz’s brand is not standard Evangelical theology, its fringe and frankly makes us look bad. Even solid Evangelical sites state that Dominionism is unbiblical.
I get that most people are not theologically savvy, for me its a ministry - a career - but that is no excuse for lumping cultists in with actual real Evangelicals with solid biblical theology.
