I’m a cult deprogrammer, specializing in helping Mormons transition to Christianity. The more I read about 7 mountains dominionism the more similarities to Mormonism I see. Google “Second Anointing LDS” and you will see a rare Mormon ritual where a person is guaranteed Godhood and anointed King and Priest. Sounds a lot like what you stated.
In Hebrew, Messiah means ‘anointed’, and bionically kings were anointed, but that was Israel. What I see in dominionism is a form of Replacement theology where the US (specifically as a “Christian nation”)is considered the chosen people (either in name or in fact) rather than Israel. The other aspect that is clear in dominionism is their view of Immanentizing the Eschaton - that their actions (control of the US) is needed prior to the return of Christ. That puts Christ at our beck and call and is dangerous in theology.
Both of those things are also prevalent in LDS (Mormon) theology (again I can document it) so that may be part of Becks desire to associate with Trump. If I am reading Beck right, the mask is starting to slip in regards to his Mormon faith but he still holds many of the more theocratic doctrines and thus it would be an easy transfer.
bionically = bibically
I appreciate you scholarly comments. It is some what concerning to me, as a Christian, to see how doctrinally flawed and distorted this 7MD movement actually is. I don’t know of any Biblical students that believe that we are a chosen people that must take over the Country to facilitate the coming of Christ. I believe Christ will come when he wants to come and doesn’t need “kings” or “Messiahs” to pave the way. I think calling themselves Messiahs “ is very much like LDS and see clearly now the Glen Beck adulation for the the “Messiah” Cruz. To me ,it is blasphemy. This is not Christianity. It is clearly not, IMO
I was tellimg my mom amd sister just the other day the same thing. How closely relates the ‘denominations’ seem to each other.
