Excuse me, but what ‘National’ anything is not influenced by politics? Isn’t this the function of an independent prosecutor?
She’s toast. She lost the FBI lottery. The best she can expect is a Petraeus deal where she gets to plea without charges being filed and the subsequent indictment. Her best choice is a medical emergency that takes her out of the running and unavailable for prosecution. If she passes on that, my guess is a dirt nap especially if she’s got the goods on others.
Sometime in early summer, Hilary will be presented with a deal she cannot refuse. Only she won’t know that.
