All tax cut plans would raise the deficit if you don’t cut spending. We run massive deficits now. What is you solution? Raise taxes so there is not deficit. I like Trump’s plan. It beats the hell out of any plan that adds a VAT.

No cutting spending would be preferable. But Trump has not proposed that. Cut revenue, increase spending, that appears to be his plan and that is a recipe for disaster.

It beats the hell out of any plan that adds a VAT.

At least Cruz has identified significant spending cuts. Admittedly the cuts are nowhere near as deep as they will need to be but at least he's proposed a start. All Trump has suggested are cuts to EPA and Education, which isn't even nibbling around the edges of what needs to be done.
