I really resent that ad nauseum personal attacks on Cruz seem to be allowed again and again here at FR but responses to those attacks are not allowed by moderators .
i disagree with what the moderators are doing here. I think the moderators here should allow us to criticize trump for being anti-conservative. We should be able to defend a candidate like Cruz on this site.
I really don’t understand what is going on here.
This site has for more than a decade allowed decent politicians to be torn to rhetorical shreds for not being sufficiently conservative. It is quite clear that Trump is not conservative.
it seems obvious to me that we are in a highly regulated environment now where criticism of Trump is almost completely disallowed while cheap shot ad hominem attacks rain down on the boards against Cruz.
I still like my candidate Ted Cruz.
I think the Trump supporters have the same irrational attachment to their candidate that Obama supporters had. There is no reasoning allowed.

Given the number of debates that have taken place, there's nothing new to be learned from further debates. PLUS from a strategic standpoint, why would a leader want to debate someone in second place at this point?
As far as the negative rhetoric on FR is concerned, I get it. I don't necessarily like it either but they don't seem as though they want to do much about it.

I agree wholeheartedly. Freerepublic slipped into sewer by the cult-like Trump supporters. They have lost all objectivity and will allow no scrutiny of their god. Ann Coulter has led this crusade and it’s just plain sad.
Lies, TPA, Coker, Bush dynasty as part of campaign, Goldman Sach, Beck don’t bother you and you still like your candidate. You see him above reproach which is your right, but don’t call those who like Trump irrational. It is more irrational to worship the new establishment guy Cruz.
