South Carolina Gov. Nikki Haley on Wednesday said she hoped Ted Cruz would pull through with the Republican nomination.
The statement comes a day after Florida Sen. Marco Rubio, the candidate she had previously supported, suspended his campaign.
"I thought that Marco Rubio was and is an amazing public servant. I think that he really tapped into so much of what people want in terms of the American dream," Haley told reporters in Columbia, according to a video. "I think he had a lot of knowledge in terms of what they had to do, but it obviously wasn’t his time. You know the only thing I can say now is my hope and my prayer is that Sen. Cruz can come through this and that he can really get to where he needs to go."
Haley declined to say whether she would formally endorse Cruz, remarking, "I don't know that that part matters."
"If anybody asks me, that's what I want to see happen," she said.
In assessing Cruz's path to the nomination, Haley said the Texas senator has been "solid and strong the entire way."

Obliviously Nikki Haley went GOP Establishment once she got in. You could smell she was gonna do something like this a couple months back when she did the official “attack” on Trump.
When it’s down to Trump and Hellary, she’ll be kissing up on Hellary.
Pick the person that will win the primaries. Why pick a person who is going to lose? Are these people trying to just block Trump? Not sure it is going to work for them.
She’ll back Trump soon enough, and hope all will be forgiven and forgotten. That’s the way it works.
She’s trying to retain some of her original Tea Patty cred.
Weird thing is RNC media was trying to float the idea of a Trump-Haley ticket.

Since then, she has been a good establishment soldier.

The ineligible endorsing the ineligible after endorsing another ineligible.

Indian “immigrants” are not good for America. Haley should go along with Kashima Sawant of the Seattle City Counci (Ms. $15 per hour minimum wage). These people are simply genetically unable to be conservative.

Well, all I can say is I would not regard her “endorsement” of Donald Trump as a positive event if she were to offer it! Kinda like David Duke!
