too early... give it another week or two and then the deals will be made. See if the Donald has what it takes to make it to the finish line... same with cruz.

politics make strange bedfellows, and i can see a Cruz Trump ticket evolve down the road.

hehehe

GO TED!

I really wonder what Cruz’s financial donors are telling him to do. They can do the same math we’re doing.

Here's how Ted Cruz can turn this race on its head:

Make a public pledge that if he enters the convention with less than the majority position of delegates, he will instruct his delegates to support the candidate that has the most. Dare Trump to make the same pledge. Here's what that will accomplish:

1. It guts Kasich. There is no point in his candidacy at that point. Ted Cruz gets the one-on-one he clearly wants.

2. It forces the GOPe to shut up about their favored candidates, and to choose. Who gets the money? The endorsements?

3. It earns him a hell of a lot of respect, and I suspect, votes from those who are sickened about the prospects of smoky back-room deals determining the nominee. He'd at least have a chance at winning outright, which he does not have now.

4. It makes sure he's in the mix of any convention deals. The GOPe will not think twice about shutting him out.

5. It puts real teeth behind his previous statements that he thinks a brokered convention would be terrible for the party.
