Naturally, the Cruz supporters, lacking in intellectual honesty or ethics, will misconstrue what Trump said to change it from a righteous defense of this countries' democracy, into a statement of petulance.

You are correct. Some Cruz supporters have been quite thoughtful, and I have no doubt that there are large numbers of Cruz supporters on this site who have refrained from speaking out, given the back-and-forth vitriol. But a very sizable subset of Cruz supporters have been terrible. Hopefully, many of them are just trolls and seminar posters, and are not representative of anything.
