Donald Trump finally shared the name of someone he consults on foreign policy: himself.
Asked on MSNBC's "Morning Joe" who he talks with consistently about foreign policy, Trump responded, "I'm speaking with myself, number one, because I have a very good brain and I've said a lot of things."
"I know what I'm doing and I listen to a lot of people, I talk to a lot of people and at the appropriate time I'll tell you who the people are," Trump said. "But my primary consultant is myself and I have a good instinct for this stuff."

Lt. Gen. Michael Flynn
If Obama had said this there would be multiple threads about it, and Freepers would be losing their minds over it, much like when Obama was skipping his Security briefings. But Trump does it and it’s genius...Total cult of personality around Trump.
Hmmm, sorta makes me come to the inescapable conclusion that Trump will indeed surround himself with all the best people and proceed to ignore them.
Reagan was the same, sure he had advisers and he listened to their opinions, but ultimately he went with his gut.

Beautiful. Gotta remember it!
Abut half the population is below average.
Just a statistical fact.
I see you relate to the word fool very well.
Trump defaulted on debts five times greater than his wealth, while building his empire on the backs of illegal workers. He greased the tracks by bribery in politics and is stupid enough to brag about both crimes during an election.
If he had taken his inheritance and invested it in a mutual funds and lived at the average lifestyle of the average American he would be worth far more than he is now without screwing a thousand vendors out of their lifestyles.
His train wreck of marriages and Adultery shows how well he keeps vows, but he vows that his entire life as a corrupted businessman democrat means nothing, now he is a Conservative. And you will vote for him while calling me a fool.
Somehow your ability to judge character gives me comfort at the moment...
Yes, and that statistic is why every democracy in history devolves into despotisim. It is also why America was designed to be a Republic.
But that can only stand on the morals of its people, sadly that has failed the test of time.
Soros and Buffet are crafty, they think, not emote.
I listen to myself often. Not always, but often. Occasionally I listen to others.
Like a boss
Excellent point and so true
Actually I've determined that people like Trump who think they know it all generally don't. But are too dumb to realize it.
That was a pretty clear answer.
Or make propositions so patently asinine the only insight they give is into the one making them.
Yes, but the essence of a republic is that it must be managed by some sort of leadership cadre, a/k/a an "establishment" -- whether or not the latter term is recognized explicitly.
Therefore, perhaps we have a fundamental contradiction between (a) the denizens of Trumpland, who seemingly wish to destroy any vestiges of a governmental leadership cadre, and (b) the republican ideals of our Founding Fathers.
In any case, the 2016 election cycle may well mark the beginning of the end for the Republic envisioned by our founders:
Hilary will destroy what's left of our Constitutional tradition by her SCOTUS picks, whereas Mr. Trump appears intent on destroying it by his demagogic, no-nothing appeals to a WWE-loving public that yearns for a Latin-style Caudillo, a Bonaparte, a proverbial Man on a White Horse.
I have said from the beginning that my support for Trump primarily stems from the fact that he is the FIRST candidate we've every had who recognizes our country's greatest enemy is the media, and has the experience and acumen to beat them at their own game.
“I see you relate to the word fool very well.”
That is because you hit me with it and I am just shoving it back into your face.
“Trump defaulted on debts five times greater than his wealth, while building his empire on the backs of illegal workers.”
Go peddle that to someone who is as stupid as your are.
“He greased the tracks by bribery in politics and is stupid enough to brag about both crimes during an election.”
EVERY major company in the the United States and the world does what he did, only much more so. That is the trouble with you Cruz-bots, only telling half the story. He has contributed more to Republican candidates, and not very much for his wealth factored over 40 years.
“If he had taken his inheritance and invested it in a mutual funds”
Maybe you are a Rubio fan. Trump already had more money than his father when his father died and it was, comparatively speaking, nothing compared to what he already had.
“And you will vote for him while calling me a fool.
Somehow your ability to judge character gives me comfort at the moment...”
I called you a fool because that is the way you addressed me, and it would take a fool to draw that conclusion from what I posted to you.
Don’t post me again.
