What makes you think the delegates will be Trump or Cruz supporters ? They are not picked by the candidates — they are picked by the local party hacks, ie. the GOPe.
The RULES bind them to vote for Trump or Cruz on the first vote but they are not bound to vote against “rules changes” that hurt Trump and Cruz — like tossing out Rule 40. And they are not bound to vote for Trump or Cruz on a second vote — they can vote their “conscience” and hand it to whoever the GOPe tells them to.
We could theoretically see a second vote where Trump and Cruz get only a few hundred delegates and JEB gets 2,000.
I’m pretty sure you have never participated in delegate selection and so have NO IDEA what you are talking about.
Actually, in many states the delegates ARE picked by the candidates. See this link for Illinois, for example:

It's a state by state thing. Historically, the party has always been fairly faithful at supplying loyal delegates even when the rules don't require it. But this has been anything but a typical election, so who knows?
If it means anything to you, Newt Gingrich, who seems to be something of a process wonk, believes that most of the delegates will be loyal to their candidates. I'd guess he knows more than you or I about this, but I wouldn't bet my house on that.
