A jr. senator coming over to visit wouldn't be a high point for Trump.

Cruz, well, it's Cruz. Wrote the visit down in his diary.

Hell half the time I see him he’s in shirt sleeves with no jacket, and if a jacket, no tie, and often or usually in a sort of Bass Pro fleece pullover. It’s just me-—but I think it shows disrespect to the voters to not make your indoor appearances (at least) in suit and tie. Would someone go to a job interview not wearing a suit and tie? Dress that part, Ted. Dress like WE are giving you an interview or audition.

Good! For John K-sic to even think he has a shot only shows how delusional he is. The GOPe propelled him into the ring when he had no right to even be considered a contender.

John - hint, before Cleveland go out and win 7 more states and come back when you do. THEN we’ll speak again.

“As it should be. John of Ohio should bow out.”

Kasich cannot win mathematically - NO WAY.

He’s just stayiong in to be a SPOILER.

Where is his PRIDE?

Has he no ETHICS?

If I were Trump, I’d tell The Liar to jump off a competitor’s 93 story building.

GOPe stooge Hugh Hewitt has been talking open convention since January. If Hugh says it you can bet that it is what is being discussed behind closed doors at the GOPe.

They have been planning to throw this to an open convention and nominate Jeb for months. The only way to avoid this is for Trump or Cruz to get 1237 so that they can lock it up on the first ballot.

I never even noticed that long sleeve until now.
The shoulder is about one size too big, unless Ted just likes a lot of room, doesn’t want to feel hemmed in.

Precisely. For Kasich, this is a call option. Only upside, if you have no ethics.

No, Kasich is also staying in for the possible horsetrading onto the ticket.

Kasich is staying in so he can go into that convention, make his way to the podium, grab the microphone, and inform the throngs of delegates and officials ...

“My daddy was a MAILMAN!! Did you all know that?!?”

Ping.

Sadly even if we keep him under 50% I think a lot Kasich lib delegates would prefer Trump to an actual conservative.

We’ve already seen that Romney’s “Stop Trump” movement means “Kasich or Rubio” and now down to just Kasich.

What a yucky election. And over it all hangs the ugly specter of Hillary Clinton, eager to complete the Nazi transformation of America by staking the Supreme Court.

Tom Rath, a Kasich adviser from New Hampshire and veteran of the Republican convention process... said that if Trump and Cruz are unable to break a deadlock to hand one of them the nomination, convention delegates can suspend their rules -- including the eight-state threshold -- to give other candidates the chance to put their names forward. Paul Ryan, who as House speaker presides over the convention, would preside over that process -- and his determinations on suspending convention rules could carry the day. Rath added that a deadlocked situation could also elevate Kasich as critical tie breaker -- perhaps the key to assembling a winning coalition. Morton Blackwell, a Republican national committeeman from Pennsylvania who has attended every national convention since 1964, said he foresaw the obstacle that the rules would cause and pressed to revise them at a meeting in January, before any primary contests had been held. He was ultimately shot down. He says he's concerned that any attempt to lower the threshold now -- at the expense of Trump and Cruz -- would be viewed as an attempt by insiders to rig the convention against the two anti-establishment candidates. "Reintroducing it now would be a cause of war," he said...
The 2016 convention may be as rowdy as the 1964 or 1976 conventions were. At the latter, Ford absolutely did not want Reagan (who was far short of delegates) for his running mate, which probably cost Ford the election -- but it resulted in eight years of President Reagan after the four years of the Carter Disaster.

Kasich only thinks he won in Ohio. Much of his vote was a ‘stop Trump’ vote.
