Senator Cruz is not a sociopath, he is an opportunist just like every politician that runs for office. He has his political warts just like every candidate, just that his warts are now becoming more apparent. When I first heard about Senator Cruz, I was impressed that he was a candidate that wasn't beholding to the GOP elite; now I find out that his Senate race was funded by Wall Street Loans, and his current group of supporters are the elite (Neil Bush, etc.) that want to maintain the current status quo. A vote for Senator Cruz will more than likely result in another Mitt Romney run for the White House.

He could have stuck to his principles, not done a deal with the GOPe devil, and angled for a VP slot. He’s young, so it could have worked out really well. It’s not going to happen now.
