My understanding is that a press release was issued saying that he would be addressing a group of pro-Israel lobbyists that night instead of participating in the final GOP debate.

They should change the format to a town hall or something. Otherwise, it's three moderators against Cruz and Kasich. There literally will be zero ratings period.

I can't blame Trump. He helps uniting the party by not going. Could be that Cruz pulls out too though.
