Call me crazy, but Newt Gingrich would be an excellent choice as VP. I would have said Cruz but I can no longer support him. He’s slime.

The talk has been Newt as Trump’s Chief of Staff to get things done with Congress.

Gingrich would be a very good choice.

He knows the workings of DC. But, he is removed from that influence now.

I think you are right, so very right. I think Newt could agree to get Trump set in place, teach him the ropes, and then leave after 1 term. Two things: Newt leaving after one term would shake up the second term election. And, I think Trump might just want one term, also. Two big dogs come in, clean house, and leave it to someone who will protect what they did.
