In fact, almost every Cruz supporter I have seen (myself included) believes that if it goes to a contested convention Cruz has a 0% chance of getting the nomination. Speaking as another Cruz supporter, I agee 100%.
The GOPe wants no part of Cruz -- who would upset their applecart -- but will accept Trump, because they believe they can do deals with him.

Here is an interesting overlooked fact.
Kai sch told Sean Hannity on his show this week if the GOPE tried to bring in a “unity candidate” he would be right there with Sean fighting it.
So Kaisch IS on record that there will be no “brokered convention”.
