I blame Reagan for the Disco era
: )
Disco music was Carter’s fault. Saturday Night Fever, white suits, polyester shirts with B-52 collars, medalions and angel flight pants were 1978 and 1979. Reagan saved us from that crap.
Nope. You're off by four years. Jimmah Carter years. Disco at its peak in 1977 ("Saturday Night Fever" movie). Back then I was wearing bell-bottomed blue with white striped pants, and flared-collar flowery shirts. My wife wore suede hot-pants and halter tops. The disco clubs were crowded as heck, and did look like the movie. When Reagan got into the White House, disco was dying down and gals dressed more conservatively (darn).
Disco - my “funnest” years. :)
