For 26 years, Rush Limbaugh has insisted that conservative values, clearly and passionately articulated, will win every time. By conservative values Rush meant: God, country, family, community, liberty, individualism, personal responsibility, limited government, and free markets. Reagan was the model, and the promise: it had happened once, and could happen again.
Easier said than done.

Because someone disagrees with you? Get a grip.
God bless you and God bless our candidate Donald J. Trump!
BINGO!
Great article! I read the article out loud to my husband so we both could enjoy “The Hollow Man”. He was impressed as well. Thanks.
>>>I am not throwing over on him yet. He can come back from this<<<
You will know Tuesday night if Cruz has run out of time.
He sided with the Rabble Rousers and that may have been his Waterloo. He lost me with that one although I would still Vote for him in the General Election if he were the Nominee as I hope everyone would.
Months ago I said things can change in an instant. Well, here we are. I thought Cruz would run the table since he was the first one in. So much for my picking the winning Horse at the Racetrack.
Thanks so much!
I’m praying he wins Florida and Ohio!
Have you voted or are you waiting for Tuesday?
That’s the biggest load of poop I’ve ever read.
So Ted Cruz is too good for mortal man, huh?
Bkmk
Absolutely the BEST thing yet written on the major candidates and an assessment of Cruz that will never be improved upon. There are sentences in here that are pure gold, like what Trump and Cruz see when they look at the crowd and the mirror, respectively. Overall, this brilliant piece illuminated how and why Cruz will likely not get the nomination, and if he does, will never achieve the Presidency.Like Rubio and Kasich, he lost NO time in basically blaming Trump for what happened in Chicago,After listening to all 3 of them on that subject, they are ALL dead to me. From here on in.
I think you clearly understand that your candidate has betrayed you, and perhaps was never what you once thought.
But I digress.
Part of conservatism is a set of principles. I have no problem with that. Your candidate seems to have forgotten that in his bid for power. Yes, his own weaknesses have now been exposed, he's NOT the great candidate many of us once thought. And yes, he has been blinded by ideology, he's just not near so pure as you think.
If populism is defined as dealing with our border crisis effectively, genuinely winning the war against Islamist insanity, strengthening our military, helping our vets, returning to the peace and prosperity of capitalism, I'm going to call myself a populist.
Good luck trying to salvage a campaign that is imploding because of its own candidate.
Go get angry at your candidate for upending his own principles this past week.
He deserves your anger. Big time.
I knew you wouldn’t tussle.
You’re typical post and run and hide.

Pwned. Again
Best thing I’ve read about this election.
Well, he seems to think so......
Great read. Thanks for sharing.
It ain’t over until it’s over. I still prefer him over Trump (although that gap is noticeably thinner than it was).
Enough to fertilize my back ten.
I will eagerly seek out the
other writings of this author.
Me too.
There are a great deal more that say he is patriotic.
In spite of the subterfuge here to make it seem a Trump tidal wave, there is a larger majority who stay away from this worthless fight and refuse to subject themselves to being spat upon by those previous conservative pretenders that somehow became blinded by the Trump Flash.
