Reminds me of Venezuela under Chavez, where pro-socialist mobs would attack any remenent of conservative media. When state-approved mobs are allowed to serve as the state's unofficial brownshirts, it can go from bad to horrible very fast.

I totally agree with that, and I have no clear solutions.

I, instead, focused on the hideous accusation that "Trump deserves his rape! He dresses like a SLUT!"

It's the only part of this set of scenarios that I pray I have a possible solution for: a (hopefully powerful) counter-meme.

Rafael Eduardo Cruz has shown his true colors again this morning on the news outlets crying about violence Trump has engendered and he is with the left in supporting the attempt to silence Trump and his supporters. The man is a TOTAL FRAUD.

Words only have power over us that we give to them. At timeswe hear what we want to hear rather than what is said. I stand with Cruz and will continue to do so. His statement was not in support of the protesters, but a comdmnation of both. Disengenuous to make the rape analogy and blaming the victim. Cruz blamed the protesters by bringing violence to a rally. Blamed the candidate for fostering an environment of violence that begets violence... If the candidate promotes raping the miniskirt clad victim, that candidate is not copable in the actions of the crowd... But fosters the environment. Responsibility always lands with the individual, trump supporters think because they have the numbers, thatt that makes them right. That is not the case.

That is not correct, Laz. The clause beginning with but is being contrasted with the first clause. The “but” does not eliminate the first clause.
