“Being whiny and spewing bile at Trumpers doesnt change the fact that your boy committed political suicide last night. And the sad thing is, he probably thought that it was going to help him.”
An American understands the First Amendment and free speech. A Canadian... not so much. That’s one of the reasons the Founding Fathers specified “natural born citizens”. Those of us who have had that ingrained in us since birth know that there’s no wiggle room in the concept of free speech. It’s not fungible. It isn’t there to be used only if convenient, as Cruz is doing. ALL SPEECH IS PROTECTED.
And all these defenses by the people on this thread doesn’t change the truth that Trump’s speech is protected by the First Amendment, whether the Cruzies and the Hillarites or the Berners like it or not.
It also doesn’t change the fact that the political campaigns very deliberately set out to deny Trump the chance to speak.
Doesn’t change the fact that law enforcement deliberately didn’t do their jobs, quite probably in collusion with the campaigns.
These together are a blatant attack on Mr. Trump’s First Amendment rights, not by private citizens but by the government.
And when Cruz, one of the three Bushite stooges stood up and told the entire world that Trump had it coming—and yes, he said exactly that except in weaselly lawyer speak—he very clearly put himself against the First Amendment.
In any other place, Cruz’s comments on Trump’s tone wouldn’t matter so much. But here, tacked onto a response to a flat-out assault on Mr. Trump’s Constitutional rights, tells us all where he stands.
