There are a number of organizations that provide insurance for just such an incident. USCCA is but one.

Another moral hazard attaching to living in California. Utah, Alaska, Texas, Arkansas -- no problem.

Well, you can work for free if you want to; most lawyers need money to pay overhead, put food on the table, gas in the car....

In fact, with your views, you probably should go work for free for the Sanders presidential campaign. He’s going to give lots of free stuff if he gets elected. Maybe you could convince him to add free legal services, as well.
