THERE. I fixed it for you. That's all he was in the Senate. That was to fool you and me and everyone else into thinking that he was a principled conservative. THAT was going to be his claim to fame - "I fought the Washington Cartel and I will continue to fight for you, blah, blah, blah".

Let me tell you a little story about Ted. Do you know why he and Glenn Beck went down to the border to hand out goodies to illegal aliens? It was nothing more than a political stunt for Ted's political future. You see they believed, along with the GOPe, that the republicans needed to "soften" their image in regards to illegal immigration and the border. Ted Cruz, forever calculating his next political advantage, decided to hand out teddy bears (get it, TEDdy bears?) to illegals, so later when accused of being a meanie (by Hillary or whoever) he could point out his compassion. Then we'd be flooded with campaign ads showing kids with their TEDdy bears thanking him for his kindness. Something happened on the way to that little plan. DONALD TRUMP and THE WALL. Suddenly, defending the border was "in" and being "compassionate" towards illegals was out. That is why Ted NEVER brings this up. That is Beck doesn't bring it up. Trump demolished that little plan they hatched.

Ted Cruz has flip flopped on Roberts, TPP, illegals, contested convention, etc. He will say whatever he needs to say at that moment. Nothing more. Nothing else. He's nothing special. Maybe this is why you can't find hardly anyone who knows him that supports or likes him. But you can find a lot of people who know the "real" Donald Trump who speak highly of him. And Trump wasn't running for office his entire life like Cruz.

And you know all this how? There is nothing wrong with comforting children. I would have done the same thing if I was there. You don’t know his motivation. If you are some insider and know this for a fact rather than just implying things, then spill the beans. Until then it is just opposition propaganda. And Ted Cruz did condemn the rioters but Trumpsters leave that part out.
