In the national parks, you are warned not to feed the animals because once they get used to handouts, they expect handouts. And then when people don’t give them food, they become aggressive and attack.
The violence at the Trump rallies is no different, except that the attackers are smart enough to know that Trump is threatening their “free stuff” supply, so they are attacking preemptively, before the goodies are stopped.
