No. They are just more loud about their church. You know how black gospel churches do their shouting out...well it’s similar but different :-)
I love Pentecostals, but I think they’d have a really hard time getting elected in the general election. I’m glad this came out now, and not in October as Cruz as the nominee.
Evangelicalism, Evangelical Christianity, or Evangelical Protestantism[a] is a worldwide, transdenominational movement within Protestant Christianity maintaining that the essence of the gospel consists in the doctrine of salvation by grace through faith in Jesus Christ's atonement.[1][2] Evangelicals believe in the centrality of the conversion or "born again" experience in receiving salvation, in the authority of the Bible as God's revelation to humanity, and spreading the Christian message. The movement gained great momentum in the 18th and 19th centuries with the Great Awakenings in the United Kingdom and North America. The origins of Evangelicalism are usually traced back to English Methodism, the Moravian Church (in particular the theology of its bishop Nicolaus Zinzendorf), and German Lutheran Pietism.
It is generally agreed that Evangelicalism is separate from what is known as "mainstream denominations," Methodism, Prebyterianism, Episcopalianism, or Lutheranism, except as individual such congregations operate fundamentally on Evangelical beliefs. Belief in being "born again," an eschatological belief in the culmination of the Age by a "catching away" (rapture) of the church, a final conflict on earth with Evil as epitomized by Satan and his Emissary, and "grace alone (if not primarily)" theology is all paramount in Evangelicalism.
Interesting comment considering the apostle Paul was afflicted with a sin. A sin that was not revealed. There is no man that someone can not find fault. To pick something like not tithing, come on, thats between that person and his God. Does it really make the message any less real.
Before you go off, yes I clearly understand that a leader must be above all that, but its not like a continuing practice of idolatry, adultury, preaching outside the saving grace of God etc.
Understandably few will see it that way.
Indeed, this is posted by anti-christian individuals, but my problem is not pentecostalism or evangelicalism, it is dominionism. The author does eventually get to the dominionism but in some form equates it with pentacostals and evangelicals which it is not. Dominionism is unbiblical and in fact the opposite of Gods plan God did not say go and take over governments(and arts and entertainment and finance etc.) to usher in the Kingdom Age. Dominionism is the problem not pentecostalism or evangelicalism.
I like Cruz but those are funny!
Still better than being muslim
Wait until November. This will seem like a kiddie ride at the county fair.
“Ok, does Ted tithe?”
How the heck would you know unless you’re his pastor? Not everyone declares that on their tax forms.
Oh, where are Trump’s tax forms, btw? Let’s see how much he tithes...
The Drudge headline is stunning.
I joked about Cruz and his supporters being Snake Handlers.
Damn if is isnt true.
When this video hits the airways, a lot of Americans
will be turned off to Cruz.
Thanks.
This speaking in tongues and “anointed king” stuff is what makes a lot (I daresay, the majority, even fellow Christians such as myself) of people look sideways at some Christian sects as wacky nutjobs.
General election poison, if you ask me.
“Exactly.
This is coming from people who have no idea what a Pentecostal or Evangelical Christian is.”
Excuse me! I have many friends who are Pentecostal and have attended their services many times. They are Bible believing and faithful in their beliefs. Their methods of worship are uplifting to see, even if not my preference.
You’re doing the same thing Ted Cruz is doing and is counting on people like you to do; which is to confuse being against Ted Cruz to being against any form of Christianity. You’re going to fail and so is he because anyone who does such things is bound to eventually.
I have nothing against Christians, whatever their denomination. I do have a big time problem with manipulative, bald faced liars who use their faith to gain worldly gains. It’s wrong.
Ted Cruz, because his followers are doing just what he wants them to do, is bringing shame and degradation on a whole sector of Christianity by dragging them into the political cesspool.
Ted Cruz, the Baptist, Pentecostal, Dominionist, Conservative, etc., etc., is NOT glorifying the name of The Almighty or Our Savior any more than Jim Baker or any other religious posterer ever did; quite the opposite.
No, I missed that./s He didn’t lose because of his mormon beliefs, he lost because he was a liberal republican from MA who couldn’t even win his home state and because there was massive voter fraud in states like Ohio where there were districts that reported greater than 100 percent of people voting.
All that I need in a president is someone who is willing to attack and destroy the only dragon he is authorized to fight- the federal beast.
That one isn’t nearly as good as the other two.
Do you accept that Cruz is anointed by his dad as king or do you believe that Christ is King? That distinction may not affect you but I thought all Christians believed Christ and no man is King.
Apology in advance, I was not referring to you as anti-christian, but the author and publication.
