The democrats not only WILL challenge Cruz, they will apply the dual citizen parent test in addition to place of birth test which Cruz claims is not required. This is clearly evidenced by the senate hearing conducted in 2008 which challenged McCain’s natural born status.
Regardless of whether we think McCain’s place of birth was legitimately considered US soil, the relevant aspect of the 2008 senate hearing is that the democrats APPLIED both sets of criteria to include BOTH PARENTS.

The GOP made a pact with the RATS last time - the Repub won’t challenge obama if the RATS don’t challenge McCain. The GOP even made up a senate resolution to ‘resolve’ that McCain is nbc eligible to be POTUS!
This time they didn’t even bother to ‘resolve’ that Cruz is nbc! Because they would be contradicting their own senate Resolution 511 in 2008.
