Wow, yeah! A pair of those in the OA-37's air frame might be a good idea. In addition to those engines, they could modify the cockpit to make it a single-seat version. It has great visibility with the canopy that it already has and they wouldn't need a T-37 for training, either. I'm fairly sure the wings and air frame are strong enough for carrying and launching Mavericks...among others.

The lower fuel burn means you can nix the tip tanks, and add some composite slightly "sheared tips" for reductions in drag, greater high altitude performance, like "Precious Metal" below. VG's smoother wings, airfoil change(?) could help on the bottom and top end. A one point they were talking about adding Fowler Flaps to reduce takeoff runs etc, something to consider. Cockpit upgrade from steam gages? Yaowzer, I can't imagine the weight reduction, huge. It might be quite a Hot Rod with all the upgrades.

Not high enough to hang a decent sized EO/FLIR from, marginal performance for high/hot/heavy. The added humiliation of looking up at your plane captain.
