My dads side had 6 in wartime and my moms family had 3 in wartime. I remember my mom teaching me to write letters to my uncle in Vietnam, it was sad, but my family is very proud of there service. I will never forget the day that war was over, I was so relieved, I was a teenager.

I was a young wife then. We married sooner then planned and when we got to his base in Georgia papers were on his desk. They were telling him of his Vietnam tour in 4 months time.
