Ted Cruz insulted Donald Trump supporters yesterday in an interview on the Christian Broadcasting Network.
Cruz thinks the Trump voters are stupid. Nice.
On Thursday Trump supporter Sarah Palin responded to the latest insults. Cruzs latest dig strays from humorous into downright nasty. ....snip....
From Sarah Palin: GOP Majority Voters in Primary are Wayyyyyy Beneath Cruz, So Says Cruz

Calling GOP frontrunner supporters "low information" disengaged voters, Ted Cruz's insinuation reeks of all the reasons America knows "the status quo has got to go." The arrogance of career politicians is something at which the rest of us chuckle, but Cruz's latest dig strays from humorous into downright nasty. Cruz is right, though - independent, America-first, commonsense conservatives supporting Donald Trump ARE "low information" when it comes to having any information on Cruz's ability to expand the conservative movement, beat Hillary Clinton, unify and lead the nation.
* Where's information on any Cruz success whilst in his short, half-term U.S. Senate seat, proving his resume's advantage over another career politicians's lawyerly executive inexperience that includes never having created a single private sector job, but boasting of his constitutional law teacher creds? (Remember America experimented with that resume before; how'd that work out for the country?)
* Where's info on his reasoning in inviting more illegal aliens to flood our porous borders by enticing families with benefits and literal gifts (like teddy bears and soccer balls)? http://theconservativetreehouse.com/

The issue, I think, is that in this case, magnitude is not something that can be easily examined objectively. What one person sees as horribly schismed, another can see in a different way, especially since politics is so largely subjective.
Here are my thoughts. Again, this is subjective.
Cruz was in public office, where his ‘positions’ affected huge swaths of people, and so the effects of one ‘inconsistency’ or just a mistake or a lie is magnified much more. Especially for a Senator whose votes affect the entire nation. So his taking support from Jeb’s people lately, and the TPA morass, and calling himself anti-establishment when he’s been doing government work most of his career tend to stick out more.
As for Trump? Most of the inconsistencies that people have been bringing up are often inaccurately reported, and those that he HAS changed on did not have much if any effect on any people other than himself and his family, or potentially his workers. Now that he is looking at public office, he’s having to look at himself and stake out positions that weren’t as important before, and so he could afford to ignore them or not think overly hard. I’ve lived in NYC, and I know how easy it is to just go with the flow of social liberalism just because everyone else is talking about it, especially when you’re trying to concentrate on your job instead of politics.
It’s also easier for me to excuse because Trump owns his past, while Cruz has tried to hide his.
It may be easier to explain my thought processes if we try to go item by item. If you want me to do that, tell me where to start.
You can certainly make that case, but that's not what Palin said.
You know, bottom line, a bunch of you aren't worth it.
You're being conned.
Life goes on :)
I’m sorry, but as a Trump supporter, I guess I’m just too stupid to find “Cruise” on the ballot. Since there appears to be no “Cruise” on the ballot, I will just have to vote for Trump instead. ;-)
GO TRUMP!
Thanks.
I’ll do my best to keep your graciousness in mind if we should butt heads on other threads.
and I’ll try to remember we did so I can needle you again ;)
Honestly, I won’t remember.. it’s the gift of age I guess.
My husband told me his voice sounds like Squidward from Spongebob.
Both of the Clintons are Yale law school grads.
Yale grads are as bad as Harvard because they try harder.
I guess Cruz wouldn’t want is low information voters to switch to him being were kinda slow and all.
You probably never liked her.
It is nice to finally get Trump to add some details on various issues, so that he can be held to some of these stands. I like to know or be able to predict where a candidate will stand and I haven't seen a consistent pattern with Trump yet. Cruz has stated his standard is the Constitution and can be held to that.
I don't see Cruz's changes in positions as major and I can live with those. Trump's positions have changed so significantly and even the party he identifies with (Rep->Ind->Dem->Rep->Dem->Rep) that it is hard for me to trust.
We don't have to get into issues, unless you want to bring up something specific. We aren't likely to change each others views and will probably end up agreeing to disagree.
Doesn’t the republican leadership call, Ryan,, McCain, Graham, Dole, Romney, McConnell, Bonher conservative?
Not to wprry Ted if yoy get the nomination, which you won’t, I won’t vote for yoy because I know you wouldn’t want my low informstion bote.
If you looked at Cruz and his wifes connevtions you’d know he is the ultimate insider and a liar
Cruz is my Senator and has done what he’s said he’d do. He has defended U.S. Sovereignty in Medellin vs. Texas against the Bush administration and you can find a video of him calling the CFR a Pit of Vipers. You can believe whatever wild conspiracies you want, but I’ll judge them by their records.
Drama queens pretending Cruz said something he didn’t....yawn.
Well Cruz said we are dumb so whatever.
He didn't say that. You need to read the quote again. Or, have someone read it to you.
Then again, maybe he was talking directly to you.
I need to hit the sack, so for now let us agree to disagree, and hopefully come together to beat the tar out of Hillary come the general election.
My apologies for striking so hard so early. I guess that I’m used to attacks coming my way so often, so it gets to the point where everything seems like it’s coming right at my throat.
Palin delivers again and nails that phony sleazebucket Canuck’s tail to the wall. Go Sarah Go!
