“Trump is out there as a leader earning votes. Cruz is out there trying to make me feel like I do or don’t qualify for his definition of what it means to be a conservative, and, at the same time, stealing a page from your playbook about Democrats calling me, a Republican, dumb. Not the way to earn my vote, Ted.”
Thank you to this caller!
Well if Ted Cruz is so smart, why ain’t he rich?
Well if Ted Cruz is so smart, why ain’t he rich?
Are you listening Rush?
Harvard law weasels don’t believe in earning anything. They’re entitled because they went to Harvard.
The American people are like those grocery checkers who hold up your money in the light to see if they are counterfeit. It does not take much training to see a counterfeit bill. For them, Trump is real money. It does not take a smart American to know when a bell rings true and they are dealing with real money. It takes a dumb American to see a counterfeit bill and say it is good. Those Americans are tone deaf and can be talked into anything—even a fake dollar!
Trump supporters are Trump supporters because they are high info. Why else would they support him?
“So here’s my recommendation to Ted Cruz, and I think he can take a note from a guy like Donald Trump. You want my vote, Ted? Earn it.”
Please. This guy’s never gonna vote for Cruz.
I like Cruz, so I hate to say I agree with that.
But yes, he does let his Ivy League show through at times.
That and the Elmer Gantry act is offputting to a whole lot of voters.
awesome keep talking Teddy....
The callers would accuse Cruz, who makes a big deal over being consistent in conservative positions, of being a pointy-head Democrat.
What closed the case for me was hearing the guy complain at the end, about how Cruz was trying to make him "feel." It sounds like consultant-speak.
That's if Trump were smart. And I do think he's smart.
Powerful response from that caller! Love it!
Trump: "We won with young. We won with old. We won with highly educated. We won with poorly educated. I love the poorly educated. We're the smartest people. We're the most loyal people. And you know what I really am happy about because I've been saying it for a long time 46% with the Hispanics." [Nevada] "Forty six percent. Number one with Hispanics. I'm really happy about that. So. Thank you. So, I'm very proud of you. This is an amazing night and, you know, I love the country. I love the country."
Limbaugh: That's Trump. Humble before and to his supporters. People don't see humility in Trump. The people are outraged by him the people that can't believe he's winning, the people that can't believe reasonable people would support him they don't see any of this. They only see what scares them, what frightens them, what angers them, and they think everybody else should.
But Trump signals directly to his supporters often... that he is deeply appreciative... "We won with the highly educated; we won with the poorly educated" he's simply acknowledging he loves them, too.
I mean, they were surveyed. The exit polls sampled the people that voted... and in the group of people that did not have high school diploma, Trump won. He referred to 'em as "poorly educated," not "stupid" ... not "ignorant" or "dumb." He was not insulting them, and he was not calling them low-information. He was praising them, and they heard that.
That guy didn’t sound very bright....
By definition the Low Information Voters won’t read what Cruz said. If you read what he said he’s not talking about you.
But this logic will certainly escape the attention of the thousands of Freeper-Trumpsters who, despite their High Information status still support Trump.
Ted Cruz
Book smart
Street dumb
If the shoe fits...
