Texans voted for go to Washington to protect and defend the constitution.
K Street hates his devotion.

Well, the Bushes and Mitt Romney are popular in Washington D.C. Come on, is that really your measuring gauge??

More like 1 out of 12— the number of solid principled conservatives serving in the U.S. Senate.

Thanks for the fourth meaningless and stupid post on this thread.
Anxious to see if anything worse will follow.

Not bad for an ‘establishment’ candidate. Trump can't have it both ways.

Well, 46 of them are Democrats or explicit Socialists, so let's make it one out of 53.
Then there are the Mark Kirks, Lindsey Grahams, Olympia Snowes, Mitch McConnells, awful excuses that don't even rise to the level of RINO. Say ten of those. Then there are the garden variety RINOs, who are good for at least 20 more. And don't forget Rand Paul and Marco Rubio, who had their own campaigns, tat's two more.
Trump got Sessions, an excellent pickup. Lee is just as good, to me at least. But given the flavor of the overwhelming portion of the Senate, I wouldn't make friends with too many of them either. Temporary alliances, yes. Friends, no.
I see Cruz' putting Neil Bush on the team as a temporary alliance, and one done from a position of relative strength. Beats the heck out of feeling obliged to put a Bush on as vp, as Reagan felt obliged to do.
