Trump rallies are full of Trump supporters. Some of them don't appreciate the protesters. When you enter the lion's den, perhaps you should consider that the lion might attack you.
To: pilgrim
These protests are getting alot more organized lately. Certainly not spontaneous.

Yup, and they are going to get more violent. Protesters are going to push the security teams to the limits to goad them to using force, and then complain that they were “violated”.

Where in the world did Trump supporters get the idea of hitting people they don’t like in the face with their fists?

The protester may have extended a middle finger to the audience Try flipping off a cop sometime. You'll be arrested for "fighting words" or "inflammatory gestures," catch-alls that basically mean anything the cops want them to mean.
If that gesture is illegal when done to a cop, it also applies to mere mortals. So the Trumpite was justified in busting this fool's head.

Assumption - that it was a Trump supporter and not a plant. Assumption - that, as mentioned, the protestor would be safe and secure to go to a Trump rally, blow people off, cause a ruckus and not get caught up in chaos.

Multiple videos appear to show a protester at a Donald Trump rally in North Carolina being sucker-punched by a Trump supporterGood.
There is no undifferentiated right to "protest" without consequences.

The progressives in the Democrat party have figured out Trump is the only one that can beat their Democrat candidate. Occupy Wall Street maniacs believe the ends justify the means.
Also, I would not be surprised to learn Soros, or the GOPe, find and pay disrupters to damage the Republican brand. Both camps want Trump out.
Trump is the only one not bought and paid for by special interests
To: pilgrim
Trump is paying to rent these places, it's his rally for his people, you walk in and disrupt it, sure there are going to be people that strike back.
Besides Trump, Sanders is the only other one that has anywhere near large rallies, the rest of the candidates can't fill a coffee shop, so of course there isn't going to be protesters there.
I don't think violence solves anything thing, but tell you what, someone next to me starts crap, I'll fight back in a heart beat, and so would everyone else!!!

Not good.
Protestors should not be touched unless they physically assault another person, and then they should be restrained, not punched ... or are escorted out by official security or the Secret Service.
